Welcome to the 2026-2027 School Year!

The first day of classes for students is Monday, August 31, 2026.

Please send an email to thorncliffe@cbe.ab.ca  if your plans have changed and you will be starting later than August 31st, or you have moved over the summer.   We are currently experiencing issues with our phone lines, please email the office if you are having difficulty getting through and we will call you back.

We hope that you have had an amazing summer filled with many adventures and stories to share with us next week!

The start of a new school year is an exciting time filled with new beginnings, new routines, and plenty of anticipation. While getting back into a regular schedule after the summer break can sometimes take a little time, we know that establishing familiar routines helps everyone feel settled and ready to learn.

We also understand that September can bring a mix of emotions for both students and families. Whether this is your first year with a child in school or you are a seasoned September veteran, the transition back to school can feel exciting, overwhelming, or everything in between.

Our staff are ready and so excited to welcome you and your children back! We are here to support you, answer questions, and help make the transition into the new school year as smooth and positive as possible. We look forward to a wonderful year together!

All back to school information can be found on our website: https://thorncliffe.cbe.ab.ca/back-to-school

Can’t wait to see you all on Monday, August 31, 2026!
