• October 9^th Thanksgiving Day No School
• October 10^th- World Mental Health Day- Thorncliffe will be promoting this day by encouraging students to wear a hat to promote mental health awareness

• Thorncliffe will be implementing Dare to Care Bully Prevention program this year. With this program comes a parent course. Please click on the link below to access the course

• Parents please remember the Demographic Verification and Annual Authorization forms are submitted through the Calgary Board of Education’s online forms platform (School Engage).
  • Deadline to complete is September 30^th

• To get to SchoolEngage, sign in through the MyCBE portal using this link:  https://sis.cbe.ab.ca/public/ (an account is required).

•  Once signed in, select the tile or link titled “Online Forms and School Registration”.

• By submitting the Demographic Verification, the contact and emergency information needed will be up to date.  There are also the Annual Authorization forms available in SchoolEngage.  Providing consent via the authorization forms allows Thorncliffe staff to know whether or not you consent to things such as coverage for when media (eg. TV, radio, print publivations)visit our school).

• Reminder school ends at 1:15pm on Fridays (last year Fridays ended at 2:25pm)
• This is a kindly reminder for parents to reinforce the message to students not to bring valuables to school. The school will not be responsible for lost or stolen items.
