Dear Thorncliffe Families, 

We had another great week at Thorncliffe! 

This week, we honoured Orange Shirt Day and continued our learning about Truth and Reconciliation. We are very grateful to Knowledge Keeper Pearl White Quills for sharing her stories, teachings, and drumming with our students. A special thank you as well to our School Council for their support in making this meaningful learning opportunity possible. 

Our Terry Fox Run was also a great success! It was wonderful to see our students come together as a school community to run, walk, and carry on Terry’s message of courage, perseverance, and hope. Thank you to our families for your support and donations. 

Next week, students in Rooms 4, 5, 7, and 9 will begin swimming. We hope they have a wonderful time building their skills and confidence in the pool! 

We are looking for parent volunteers to support our upcoming Open Minds experiences. These trips are an important part of student learning and will not be able to proceed without enough volunteers. Please see the upcoming dates below. If you are available to volunteer on any of these dates, please contact your child’s teacher. We greatly appreciate your support!
