Dear Thorncliffe Families,

We hope you all have had a wonderful week and are looking forward to the upcoming Spring Break. This week, our Division 1 students enjoyed a field trip to The Confluence, where they explored artefact excavation and worked to identify the era from which the items originated. Our Grade 6 students also had an amazing experience on their overnight trip to the Royal Tyrrell Museum in Drumheller. They explored the fascinating world of dinosaurs and gained hands-on insights into palaeontology, deepening their understanding of prehistoric life. As a memorable highlight, students spent the night surrounded by the museum’s dinosaur exhibits, making the learning experience both fun and unforgettable. A heartfelt thank you to our School Council and parent volunteers who made these field trips possible. These valuable learning experiences would not happen without you.

Thank you to all the families who attended the Student Learning Conferences. Our students have been working very hard, and it was a meaningful opportunity to celebrate their achievements and discuss the next steps in their learning.

A reminder that our School Council is hosting the Growing Smiles Spring Fundraiser. This is a wonderful way to prepare for the gardening season while supporting our school community. Orders are due by April 23 at 11:59 p.m.

March has been a busy and exciting month for students and staff at Thorncliffe School. We hope you all have a restful and enjoyable Spring Break, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back on Monday, March 30th.

Warm regards,

Calleigh & Mary
