Dear Thorncliffe Families,

It has been another busy week at Thorncliffe. With daylight saving time now behind us, we are settling back into our routines and looking ahead to another exciting week of learning and connection. As we enter the last week before Spring Break, there is a positive sense of energy in the school as students and staff continue working hard while also looking forward to Spring Break.

Next week brings some wonderful learning opportunities for our students. On Tuesday, our Division 1 classes will be heading to The Confluence for a field trip experience. Our Grade 6 students will also be travelling to Drumheller from Wednesday to Thursday for their much-anticipated overnight field trip. We know these experiences will create meaningful learning opportunities and lasting memories for our students.

We will also be celebrating a Spirit Day on Tuesday, March 17. Students and staff are encouraged to wear green to show their Thorncliffe spirit and celebrate together as a school community.

Student Learning Conferences will take place on Thursday from 4:30 to 7:30 pm and on Friday from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. Please remember to book your conference time online if you have not already done so. We look forward to connecting with families to celebrate student growth and discuss the next steps in learning. While you are visiting the school for conferences, we invite you to stop by our Book Fair on Thursday and Friday. This is a great opportunity to purchase books for your family while supporting literacy initiatives at Thorncliffe.

School Council is excited to host the Growing Smiles Spring Fundraiser. This is a wonderful way to prepare for the upcoming gardening season while supporting our school community. Orders are due by April 23 at 11:59 pm.

March continues to be a busy and exciting month at Thorncliffe. Please stay tuned for more updates about the many activities and opportunities happening at our school.

Wishing everyone a wonderful week ahead.

Warmly,

Calleigh, Sandy & Mary
