Adventures Childcare will be offering before and after school care for the 2024-25 school year for students in grades 1-6 at Thorncliffe School. Please contact them at 403-483-1272 for more information. Please be aware space is limited.
This a friendly reminder that riding bikes, scooters, skateboards, or Heelys is not permitted on school property.
Important Dates & Information:
- Two therapists from the Centre for Newcomers will be presenting for parents on June 11th from 6pm-7:30pm.
- This session is for all parents/caregivers and will cover a variety of topics including stress management, while messaging is directed to newcomers, the tools are accessible to all.
“In this session, we talk about stress management for newcomers in relation to our thoughts and emotions, examine the different ways we think negatively, and provide CBT approaches in dealing with stress and changing our views about stress as well. This presentation aims to help individuals manage the stress associated with daily life and transitional life challenges

On Thursday, June 27 Students in Kindergarten - Grade 6 will be having activity day. Each classroom is asked to wear their team colour. Please check your child’s Google Classroom on Friday for your child’s colour.
We are looking for volunteers to support us in running stations and helping with the pizza lunch provided by school council. Volunteers will be needed from 9:15am -1:00pm. If you have a CBE volunteer clearance and you are available please sign up here. All students in Grades 1-6 will be provided a pizza lunch. Thank you to School Council for organizing and paying for this fun lunch. If your child is not able to eat pizza please ensure you pack a lunch for them to eat that day.
