Dear Thorncliffe Families, 

Thank you so much to our amazing school council for their support of the show “The Understandable Girl” presented by Quest Theatre.  The themes of friendship, welcoming and belonging, and how the language of friendship is universal were so special and meaningful to our students.  There was dialogue in Ukrainian shared, and our students that speak Ukrainian all lit up during the show feeling seen and acknowledged through the play.  We are so grateful to have shared this wonderful theatre experience together. 

This week, we will have a lockdown drill to practice be safe, silent and serious with the support with a constable from the Calgary Police Service.  This drill will be announced and students will be prepared for what to do before the drill.  We appreciate the support of the CPS in helping us to learn how to keep safe. 

Student learning conferences will be occurring on Thursday and Friday this week.  Students attend regular classes Monday through Thursday, with no classes on Friday for the conferences.  Please book you conference on your MyCBE account or call the main office if you need help.

Conference bookings are now open for November 27 and 28^th.    Please go to your myCBE account to book your conferences.  There is no school for students on Friday, November 28^th.
