Dear Thorncliffe Families, 

We will be recognizing Bullying Awareness this week at Thorncliffe.  Each day classrooms will be spending time thinking about how to recognize bullying, prevent bullying, and to be an upstander in our community. 

On Thursday we are pleased to welcome Quest Theatre to present The Understandable Girl.  This is the story of the importance of a first friendship between a young Canadian girl and young Ukrainian refugee told through the universal language of creative play and puppetry using English and easily understood Ukrainian. The play demonstrates how little imagination it takes to understand someone if you really listen.  We are really looking forward to it.

Thank you to our school council for providing this learning opportunity for our students and staff.

Conference bookings are now open for November 21, 27 and 28^th.  On November 21^st there are only bookings available for Ms. Bodio’s kindergarten students.  Please go to your myCBE account to book your conferences.

School Council 

Save the Date!  Our first school council meeting  and Annual General Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, November 20^th at 6pm.  This will be a hybrid meeting and parents are welcome to join us at the school or online.   Joining council is a great way to become involved in the school community and to share your input and ideas for the school.
