Dear Thorncliffe Families,

We hope you had a wonderful week. Students have been enjoying the warmer weather and spending more time outdoors. Many are also having fun splashing in puddles during recess! We encourage you to pack an extra pair of pants and socks for your child, especially for our division 1 students, so that they have dry clothes to change into if needed. Also, if you have any lightly used pants in sizes 5–12 that you would be willing to donate, we would greatly appreciate it.

A reminder that report cards are now available through your MyCBE account. Conference bookings are also open online. If you are having difficulty accessing your child’s report card or booking a teacher conference, please contact the office or your child’s teacher.

The 100th day of school is coming up for students in Grades 1–6 on March 11th. Your child’s teacher will let you know if their class has any special activities planned. Kindergarten will celebrate their 100th day of school on April 9th.

Our next School Council meeting will take place on March 12th and will be offered in a hybrid format. We invite all families to join us to learn more about what is happening in our school and about upcoming school projects. The Grade 4/5 team will also be sharing their learning connected to the School Development Plan.

The deadline for families of students in grade 4-6 to complete the Alberta Education and Childcare Assurance Survey has been extended to March 13th.  To access the survey, you can use this link: https://public.education.alberta.ca/APOS/ A random-access code is required in order to complete the survey.  This code has been provided by Alberta Education and Childcare.

March continues to be a busy and exciting month at Thorncliffe, so please stay tuned for more updates about what’s happening at our school!

Wishing everyone a wonderful week ahead.

Warmly,

Calleigh & Mary
