Dear Thorncliffe Families,
We hope you had a wonderful week. As we wrap up February, we reflect on a month filled with meaningful learning opportunities and opportunities for connection within our school community. Students explored the Olympics, Black History Month, Ramadan, Lunar New Year, and Pink Shirt Day, while also deepening their understanding of kindness and inclusion. They wrapped up their gymnastics unit and enjoyed learning karate with Sensei Ethan.
Student report cards are now available to view online through your MyCBE parent account. We encourage you to review your child’s report card together, celebrating their strengths and discussing areas for continued growth. Student Learning Conferences will take place on March 19 and 20. Online booking will open on March 2 for Ms. Bodio’s Kindergarten families and on March 9 for all other families. If you experience any difficulty booking a time, please contact your child’s teacher.
We are also pleased to announce the addition of two new staff members to Thorncliffe. Ms. Monica Zarco will be supporting students in Grades 1–6 in a teaching role, and Ms. Cindy Ko will be joining us as a Lunchroom Supervisor. We look forward to the positive impact Monica and Cindy will have on our school community.
March promises to be another busy and exciting month. Please stay tuned for updates about upcoming learning opportunities and events. We are grateful to our parent volunteers and School Council for your ongoing support in helping provide rich and engaging experiences for our students.
Wishing everyone a wonderful week ahead.
Warmly,
Calleigh & Mary
