Dear Thorncliffe Families,
We hope you all had a restful and enjoyable Spring Break. It was wonderful to welcome students back this week, despite the seemingly never-ending snow. We were hoping it might be an April Fool’s joke, but it appears winter weather is not quite ready to leave us yet.
As the cold and snowy weather continues, please ensure your child is dressed appropriately for outdoor play. Students are eager to enjoy the snow, regardless of the temperature or conditions.
A reminder to place your Healthy Hunger orders; please see the important dates below.
Each family should have received information and order form for the School Council’s Growing Smiles Fundraiser. This is a great opportunity to get ready for the gardening season while supporting our school community. Orders are due by April 23 at 11:59 p.m.
We also kindly remind families not to park in the bus zone at the front of the school, as this creates challenges for buses to navigate safely. Please use the designated parking areas for student drop-off and pick-up.
The next School Council meeting will take place on April 23, 2026. During this meeting, our Grade 6 teachers will showcase the incredible work students have been doing in connection with the School Development Plan, as well as share highlights and memories from their recent field trip to Drumheller.
March was a busy and exciting month at Thorncliffe School, filled with many meaningful learning experiences for both students and staff.
We look forward to the arrival of spring, and all the learning and activities April will bring.
Warm regards,
Calleigh & Mary
