Dear Parents and Guardians,
Thorncliffe School presents: The New Girl the Musical. Our students in grades 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, & 6, have been working hard to bring The New Girl the Musical to life. We are excited to invite you to our performance.
Performances will be taking place On Wednesday April 17 & Thursday April 18. Please see the schedule below for your child’s performance date.

Students are asked to wear the following clothing items for the evening performances. There is no need to purchase items for this night and students not able to wear the clothing items below can wear any item of regular clothing for the performance. Each class is performing two songs so they will have two different sets of costumes requested.
Ms. Misty, Ms. Amanda & Ms. Lisk:
- Superhero shirts or Princess dresses/shirts
- Warm colour shirts (orange, red, yellow)
Mr. Larson & Ms. Michael: black shorts and a black top
- PJs or comfy clothes
- Fun and vibrant colour shirts
Ms. Szeto & Ms. Omanthi:
- Long sleeve shirt in the colours blue, puprple and aqua
- Regualr every day school clothes
Mr. Sandberg:
- Regular school clothes
- Red or Blue Shirt (Your student will know what colour they need. If you do not have that colour shirt your student needs to inform Ms. Weir by April 5th and the school will provide it)
Dress Rehearsal Information April 12th & April 16th 2024, 10:00am
Students performing the evening of Wednesday April 17th will have their dress rehearsal on Friday April 12th at 10:00 am.
Students performing on the evening of Thursday April 18th will have their dress rehearsal on Tuesday April 16th.
Rehearsals will be an opportunity for students to see the other classes perform. Students do not need to dress in costumes for the dress rehearsal. Families are welcome to attend rehearsals and doors will open at 9:45am.
Evening Show Wednesday April 17th & Thursday April 18th 2023, 6:30 PM
With the school being split to two separate performance evenings, we will not be using tickets this year. Seating will be first come first served. We will only be able to accept as many families as we have chairs. Once all chairs are filled we will have to turn families away so please consider how many people you are bringing to the performance. Thank you for your understanding in this matter.
Students are asked to arrive for the evening show at 6:10 PM so they are ready to perform at 6:30pm.
Doors will open for general admission seating at 6:15 PM.
Some families will have students performing on separate evenings. You are welcome to attend both evenings but if you would prefer to attend only one evening, please e-mail Ms. Weir at caweir@cbe.ab.ca and let her know prior to April 5th so adjustments can be made. If you have any questions please let your child’s teacher know.
