Dear Thorncliffe Families,

What a busy week around Thorncliffe!  Our grade 1-3 students demonstrated amazing resilience walking back and forth from the Thorncliffe pool for their swimming lessons.  Overall, despite being tired from their walk and swimming, students were so excited about their growth, progress, and increased confidence in the water.  Students that had not swam before shared about how they could now float, felt confident putting their head underwater, and learned some basic movement in the water.  We are so proud of all of them!

As a reminder, cell phones and other personal mobile devices are not permitted to be used at school.  If your child brings a cell phone to school, we expect that it is stored away from before they enter the school in the morning until they have left at the end of the school day.  This includes time spent at after school clubs such as choir.  Thank you for your support!

October 5th was World Teacher’s Day.  We are grateful for the amazing educators at Thorncliffe school.  Their dedication to student well-being and academic development both during the school day with your students and outside the school day planning, preparing, discussing student needs, and connecting with colleagues demonstrate their commitment to students each day.  Thank you Thorncliffe Teachers on World Teacher’s Day and every day.

We hope you all enjoyed the beautiful fall weather this weekend!

Warmly,

Calleigh and Nadine
