Dear Thorncliffe Families,

Staff and students have been preparing for our Remembrance Day Assembly on November 7th at 10:45am.  Thorncliffe Families are invited to attend this assembly.  We will be ready to welcome any families coming to the ceremony at 10:30am.  Please enter through the front door of the school.

We know many of our students and families celebrated Halloween and Diwali this past week.  With celebrations often there are special treats and candies.  When children eat a lot of sugar without other nutrition to balance it, we notice that it can impact their emotions and behaviour.  Please try to limit the amount of sweet treats that come to school with your child to one or two small things that can be eaten along with their healthy lunch.

Shared via email, the Calgary Board of Education invites all parents and guardians to join us in a pre-recorded and live online series focusing on child and youth well-being. These sessions will be hosted in partnership with experts from Alberta Health Services and Recovery Alberta and will explore topics such as Peer Pressure, Healthy Relationships, Mental Health for Highly Sensitive Teens, and navigating Parent-Teen relationships.  Please see attachment in the Nov 3 parent message email for links and additional information or email ceharder@cbe.ab.ca

Warm Regards,

Calleigh and Nadine
