Dear Thorncliffe Families,

We hope you are all having a wonderful long weekend!  As we continue to ensure the safety and well-being of all our students, we would like to address an important matter regarding student safety.

It has come to our attention that some students have been climbing trees on school property after school hours. While we understand that climbing trees can be a fun and adventurous activity, it poses significant safety risks and can also cause damage to the trees. To prevent any potential injuries and to protect our trees, we kindly ask for your support in reinforcing the following guidelines with your children:

  1. No Climbing Trees: Students are not permitted to climb trees on school property at any time.
  2. Protecting Trees: Climbing trees can damage their branches and bark, which can harm the trees and affect the environment.
  3. Playground Safety: Encourage your children to use the designated playground equipment, which is designed to be safe and enjoyable for all students.
  4. Supervision: Remind your children to follow the instructions of school staff and playground supervisors at all times.

We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe and secure environment for our students and preserving the natural beauty of our school grounds. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the school office.

On Wednesday, we are excited to have another Be You Spirit Day!  Students are invited to dress and style themselves to show their unique selves.  This could be through a celebration of their culture, their interests or hobbies, the team they cheer for, a unique hairstyle they love or other ways that help them express their individuality and personality.

Thank you for your understanding and support.

Sincerely,

Calleigh and Nadine
