Dear Thorncliffe Families,

We are so excited to welcome Alien In-Line Skating to our school this week!  All grade 1-6 students will have 3 one hour skating sessions with the instructors.  Only students that have returned the acknowledgement of risk are able to participate.  Please contact the office if you require another form and parents/guardians are welcome to stop by to sign their child’s form.  As shared earlier, our previously planned Family Skate Night has been postponed at this time due to the CUPE strike action, but will be rescheduled when possible.

On Wednesday, March 5th we will be having our next school council meeting. This meeting will be held online at 6:00pm.  At the meeting, our grade 4/5 teachers Ms. Omanthi and Mr. Larson will be sharing about student learning taking place in their classes.  Please join us using this link:

We know that many of our families and students are observing Ramadan this month.  As shared in a school messenger, we endeavour to support and respect how each individual family and student may be participating in fasting, and want to honour each families wishes in regard to their child.  We would like to invite families to complete the linked form to share information specific to your child.  You will need to complete the form for each child.

February Kindness Month Initiative

February is the month of kindness. Let’s come together as a school community and make a difference to some of our families in need!

Every contribution can help our families experiencing hardships access food to feed their families. Make a donation below, which we will use to purchase grocery gift cards to provide to our families when emergencies arise. We will collect gifts until March 21, 2025.
