Dear Thorncliffe Families,
The end of the year is approaching! Our teachers are working hard to ensure that learning and engagement continue right up until the last day. Students enjoyed wearing their favourite rainbow colour or many rainbow colours this week for our Rainbow spirit day. It was wonderful to see how our school community embraces diversity and inclusion on rainbow day and every other day.
Please continue to communicate with the office with any information related to new addresses, leaving early for summer holidays, not returning or returning late after the summer holiday and anything else that impacts student attendance or learning. This will allow us to ensure appropriate transition plans and student supports are in place.
The air quality has been fluctuating between low and high risk values. The guidance provided by CBE is to limit or restrict strenuous outdoor activities when the air quality index is 7 or above which is considered high risk. There will be times that phys. Ed and recess are moved indoor when the air quality is high risk. If there are additional considerations for your student that you would like us to be aware of, such as use of a mask or a requirement to stay indoors, please reach out to your student’s teacher and the main office.
Have a beautiful rest of your weekend!
Sincerely,
Calleigh and Nadine
