Dear Thorncliffe Families, 

We are looking forward to welcoming back our students tomorrow!  We hope everyone had a restful and fun winter break. 

Please note that we will have our kindergarten classes begin alternating Friday attendance starting on January 10^th with our AM Kindergarten Classes.  Please reach out to the main office if you have any questions about Friday Kindergarten.  

On January 13^th, 2025-2026 school year registration begins for community and alternative programs.  Please review the information at https://cbe.ab.ca/news-centre/Pages/Get-Ready-Get-Set-Kindergarten.aspx to learn about the process for registration.  As always, feel free to contact the main office with any questions you still have about registration. 

A few reminders for the upcoming week, children go outside for recess and phys. Ed in all types of weather!  Please send children with appropriate outdoor wear including: toque, mittens or gloves, snow pants, warm coat, and boots.  If your family is requiring support to get these items, please reach out to Ms. Freda in the main office.  Loaner items are also available for children if they come to the office to ask.  

At the end of January, report cards will be available for families to view on your myCBE account. Printed report cards will not go home.  If you require support setting up or accessing your myCBE account, please contact Ms. Freda in the main office or review the support documents on the CBE website: https://www.cbe.ab.ca/support/Pages/MyCBE-PowerSchool.aspx

• Spirit Day for students to showcase their own unique identity 
• Staff and students are welcome to wear clothing that reflects an attribute of their identity that they would like to share which could include cultural dress/outfits, sports, activities, or personal interests
